We have an issue with our exterior wall or roof with water and dampness entering the building at the kitchen area. at this point, it is very difficult to run birthday parties and events where food is required, We require someone to survey the damage.

from the findings of the Survey we hope a builder could mend the problem (roof or exterior wall). there is no deadline but would be very grateful if it could be looked at and fixed as quickly as possible allowing the centre to run at full capacity once more.

Our community centre is tired looking and we are looking for donations of paint for interior and exterior. it is an old brick building that has been rough casted and needs painted white again. inside is just white walls that needs painted and freshened up.

We are supporting people to move into their own homes within the supported accommodation in Largs, we are looking for Garden Furniture , Gazebos and some pots with lovely flowers to make our shared courtyard colourful and welcoming for the people we support to enjoy their outside space.

We would love to find suitable storage for our equipment which consists of approximately 10 African drums and assorted percussion in bags. Currently our community musician and group office bearers are taking equipment home after each event. This already causes difficulties if instruments and percussion are required for specific purposes and will be more problematic with the new drums we've ordered. We will need space for 24 drums and 4 or 5 bags of assorted percussion. Ideally we would need a secure, dry location with shelving and easy vehicle access to collect and return equipment.

We have odd jobs needing done around the youth cabins, such as shelves needing put up and a dart board needing hung, which due to the construction of the portacabin walls we wouldn't like to attempt ourselves! As well as this, as the cabins are starting to get older, we have regular repairs needing done. In the last year or two, we have had to replace damp flooring, the whole kitchen floor/cabinet, and patch up a section of wall, due to damp. It would be amazing to have a local contractor who is willing to donate their time to do this when needed.

Support for maintenance works on our site including painting works, landscaping, repairs and maintenance. We also require support in our boatbuilding works with skilled tradesmen restoring historic vessels.

We are working on several vessels and Sponsorship of these projects would enable us to ensure the survival of these historically important vessels.

We require materials and paint to undertake repairs and maintenance to our buildings. The supply of tools would also be welcome.

We are looking for some advice from a professional fundraiser who can help us to become more self sustainable in the future

Sponsorship or fundraising support

To help us reach people who may not have heard of us and the services we offer, and to help with fundraising, we are looking for help to plan a large local event such as a ladies lunch etc.  We are also looking for donations of materials like raffle prizes and decorations, volunteers to help on the day and help with marketing.

Our mobile single axle Groundhog welfare unit rests on a slight slope in our partial tarmac car park. The welfare unit contains a small kitchen/mess room, single toilet compartment and generator compartment. This is used by both our volunteer guides and the toilet by visitors to our site. If some construction company could help us to build up and thereby level out the ground below which the groundhog unit sits allowing it to sit level that would be a major benefit all users. Our visitor site is currently closed from October to March reopening in April 2022. We will pay for the material costs.

Joiner to replace 3 locks on the toilets doors to improve access to the public toilets. Plus look at repairing damaged section I’d Woodwynd on fascia of building.

We are working towards the installation of a new crazy golf course in McGavin Park and are looking for contractor support to complete it. This would include creation of new crazy golf features and surfacing some of the exiting features surfaces, and we are open to working with more than one contractor to help improve the facilities in the park for our community.

Building and paving materials such as sand, concrete, paving bricks, postcrete - no deadline but specific project. We cannot get a contravctor to commit and it is a bit heavy for our age fgroup - mostly in our 70s.

We are always seeking compost, bark, fertiliser and gardening equipment. We are particularly looking for 2 strimmers. Plants and shrubs are also welcomed.

Financial (donation of money)

The windows in our centre are rotting away and the frames barely hold the glass in place anymore. We are seeking a donation of £1000 to put towards the cost of new windows.

We recently had a roof survey completed and we require an asbestos survey to confirm the findings of the initial review. Our roof is leaking and we are keen to get the right professional advice ASAP so we can keep the hall in good shape for as long as we can.
