Community Benefits Wishlist Submission

For our Gala on 31st May we are looking for financial support to provide activities for families. Kilwinning Segdoune Gala is an annual event that is very well attended by the town.

The main street has old wiring that is used for the Christmas lights. There is currently a fault within one junction box. It would me of tremendous benefit to Kilwinning if this was fixed as it impacted on two crossovers and the Christmas tree lights.

We have a storage container where the towns Christmas lights and events materials are stored. This needs kitted out as there is no shelving. A donation of shelving units and or having these fitted would make a huge difference for the group.

Easter eggs for an Easter event we are holding for young people attending.

Help to provide a summer outing for families in local area during holidays when money is tight by way of sponsoring it through provision of buying tickets or paying for bus.

Washable paint and equipment/ resources required to decorate community centre foyer where lunches are served to local community.

The HUB on the PROM, has established as part of Ardrossan Connections project a 20 place bike shed (10 manual and 10 electric places). ACDT is seeking support for the provision of manual and/or electric bikes that will be used by ACDT and Ardrossan's communities to deliver activities within the active travel sector including walking and cycling. These activities will enable members of Ardrossan's communities to improve their physical and mental health and well-being.

ACDT has developed an initial Masterplan for the ongoing development of Ardrossan's South Beach. ACDT is seeking contractor support for the following activities: 1. Creation of new and refurbishment of existing paths to increase accessibility to the promenade. 2. Creation of new disabled care parking at the HUB on the PROM to increase the accessibility to the HUB and Promenade. 3. Creation of foundations and concrete areas, enabling the siting of a mobile sauna that will be made available to our community for physical and mental health and wellbeing activities.

ACDT is seeking to increase the level and effectiveness of its community communication and is seeking support for the installation of digital notice boards within Ardrossan including: 1. The HUB on the PROM. 2. Glasgow Street, Ardrossan.

The Highland Games costs a considerable amount of money to put on every year and although we receive entry money for competitions and advertising etc we have to put out outlays each year in order for the games to be a success. Each competition has prize money and one such competition is the heavies event with the prize money being around £1000 between the sections.

Sponsorship, like above, would considerably help us with the planning of the event. Our programmes which are free each year cost us between £500 and £800 depending on the quantity we decide to get printed. These programmes contain a wide variety of local business who advertise through them as well as all the information that people need for the day.

We have had the privilege of being supported by the Cunninghame Housing Association fund throughout th years however this year we have been advised that it is currently under review and therefore no applications are being accepted for 2025/2026 which has set us back financially already. Any support is greatly appreciated by the committee and helps us make the games the success it always is.

We currently run youth hubs across North Ayrshire to support 16 to 24 year olds in to employment. We are looking to increase the numbers we can accommodate in one go by requesting the donation of laptops. These will be used to create CV's, support with job applications and deliver training programmes and courses.

Looking for the professional skills of a structural engineer for a public art project. The project is in the planning stages so no deadline at the moment but would appreciate a conversation to discuss further.

Hand drier to replace worn out equipment in the parks toilets. The toilets are opened at weekends April to November, during School holidays and at all events in the park such as the community fireworks, Picnic in the Park.

To upgrade the hot water immersion heaters in the Park toilets. The current system is down to one element but is far too big for just the toilets provision as showers are no longer used in the changing rooms. The toilets are opened for the public to use throughout April to November school holidays and weekends. The toilets support the community play park, outdoor gym and events held in the park.

We will be working our way from the end of harbour street towards the shore, throughout the summer. Materials will be needed by the end of March.

We would like to have a building survey undertaken at our village hall to determine whether we need any repair work done and the order in which we should be prioritising works.

We are looking to have our hall kitchen renovated so that the building can be modernised. In the past the hall was used for larger events like weddings and we feel with modernisation of the kitchen it could be used this way again. We would welcome sponsorship for this renovation project.

We need to undertake some maintenance, repair and renovation work to the hall so that it can be upgraded for continued use by the community. Financial donations towards this would be welcomed.

We would appreciate provision (or funding) for paint to repaint our interior ceilings and for the exterior of the building which will require repainting again in due course. We have volunteers ready to undertake the work. We would also appreciate assistance with the cost of refurbishing or replacing the existing wrought iron wall-planters (2) and hanging baskets (1) and possibly with seasonal plants. The estimated cost for the wall-planters etc is £100 - 150)

Financial help with the cost of providing Hygiene Supplies in the Public toilets which our organisation maintains. This is a significant outlay depending on how busy the toilets are during different seasons. Estimated costs (£600 per annum]

The Committee would appreciate professional support and advice about publicising our organisation partly with a view to attracting a younger group of members. We are as a group limited in our digital skills.)
