WKYG is a voluntary community group without registered charitable status. It has it’s own constitution and bank account.
Its primary aim is to provide a Yuletide Xmas lighting system for West Kilbride Ritchie Street and Main Street from the beginning to end of December each year, and to promote, encourage and oversee the West Kilbride village Yuletide festival. Also to participate actively in village life, providing volunteering opportunities in community engagement involving craft, design and wellbeing. It actively raises funds to purchase and maintain Yuletide street lighting motifs as well as supporting Yuletide Festival event activities.
WKYG has been in existence since the late 1990’s.
