Irvine has been successful in securing a UK Government Award under the Long – Term Plan for Towns Programme. The funding award provides for £20million of investment in the town over 10 years.

Funding Directed through a Town Board

The funding requires the establishment of Town Board comprising local people, businesses and political representatives, to develop, oversee and deliver a Long-Term Plan for town regeneration.
