As part of a growing network of Larders North Ayrshire Foodbank has been operating theirs since November last year. The aim of the larder is to assist households, through a weekly membership fee, to reduce their spend on food. This is achieved by the larder providing core food items in exchange for the weekly membership.

Due to a donation they can exempt new applications from the membership fee until Easter. They will also accept memberships from areas where no larder exists until one opens and they can transfer over.
