Shielding is for people, including children, who are at very high risk of severe illness from coronavirus (COVID-19). Shielding is a measure to protect those people from coming into contact with COVID-19, by minimising all interaction between them and others. In Scotland, those people at very high risk (or the person who cares for them) have received letters about shielding from Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer.
The Scottish Government has asked Public Health Scotland to evaluate the shielding programme. This survey is part of that evaluation. The survey will help them learn more about people’s experience of shielding in Scotland. It will also help inform next steps.
The survey takes 15 minutes to complete and will be open until Sunday 14 June 2020.
This survey is open to all people who have received a letter from Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer advising them to follow shielding guidance. People who are caring for an adult or a child who has received such a letter can also take part.
