Alcohol-specific deaths in Scotland increase

The number of alcohol-specific deaths has increased by 17% to 1,190 in 2020, up from 1,020 in 2019 in Scotland. This is the largest number of deaths due to alcohol recorded since 2008. Continued inequalities in use of greenspace

A report on inequalities in access and use of greenspace has been published. This shows that in April 2021 almost ¾ of those classified as high socio-economic status visited greenspace in the previous 4 weeks, compared to under 60% of those classified as low socio-economic status.
