MAKE YOUR PLACE…GREAT!

YOU ARE INVITED TO SHARE IDEAS FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUR TOWN

Local communities in Largs, Saltcoats and Kilwinning are being invited to have their say and help shape the future of their town. As part of a pilot project North Ayrshire Council have selected Largs, Saltcoats and Kilwinning for the preparation of a Place Framework for each town to identify priorities and projects to address local needs and ambitions.

The project is funded by the UK Government’s Community Renewal Fund and the Scottish Government’s Place Based Investment Programme.  The outcome of the pilot will inform the roll out of Place Frameworks across North Ayrshire.

A project team, led by Austin-Smith:Lord with WAVEparticle, have been appointed to work with local people to develop projects and ideas with a focus on delivery and future funding opportunities.

A series of emerging projects and ideas have been identified through discussions with the community and other stakeholders, including during our public engagement events in the towns in May, June and August 2022. A survey has been produced for each town that aims to gauge public opinion on these emerging projects and ideas. We are inviting residents, businesses and anyone with an interest in the towns to complete a survey.

The questionnaires are available at the following:

The surveys take approximately 10 minutes to complete and will be open until Monday 24th October 2022.

Paper copies of the surveys will be made available at Largs, Saltcoats and Kilwinning libraries and can also be requested from regeneration@north-ayrshire.gov.uk or 01294 310000. They can be returned to the libraries, the Regeneration email (photo/scan), or to Cunninghame House, Irvine, KA12 8EE.
