NHS Ayrshire & Arran and Health Boards across Scotland are looking for new non executive whistleblowing champions to join their Boards.

This is a challenging and rewarding role which will have a lasting impact on the delivery of healthcare across Ayrshire and Arran. As well as having a focus as the Board’s Non-Executive Whistleblowing Champion, as a non-executive member of a Board, you will also have a key role in supporting the delivery of the organisation’s strategic direction in addition to contributing to scrutinising performance, and discharging governance and accountability functions. You may also be required to participate on a Health and Social Care Partnership Board. This role is as challenging as it is rewarding – and you will be offered the training you’ll need to make a strong contribution.

This is a great opportunity for anyone with an interest in their local health service to become more involved in decision making and in ensuring the accountability of the executive Board members and I would urge anyone who is keen to make a difference to consider applying.

The Board will particularly welcome applications from groups currently underrepresented on Scotland’s public bodies, such as women, disabled people and people aged under 50.
