Ardrossan & Largs Sea Cadets is a local charity / voluntary organisation operating as part of the national Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) charity, albeit we do not receive any direct funding from them and pay an annual contribution fee (currently £100). As such, we have to be self-sufficient and undertake local fundraising to cover annual running costs as well as being responsible for paying for rent and all our domestic service charges.
