The corsehill primary parent council and Aberlour Sustain (Scotlands Childrens Charity) began working in 2021 to secure a small playpark in the Corsehill area of Kilwinning, due to their being none.
The parent council have since decided to establish their own community group which will be known as 'Corsehill Community Champions' and will continue to identify funding in order to complete the project.
So far £50,000 has been raised via NAC CIF funding and the group will pursue a further £50,000 to bring the project to completion.
Aberlour will continue to provide support, guidance and practical supports to identify and access funding.
The project currently requires a ground survey to ensure the preferred site is safe and suitable before the project can progress.
