Beith Trust is a community-led charity working to bring Geilsland back into active community use and to improve facilities, opportunities and quality of life for people in Beith and the surrounding Garnock Valley area.
Geilsland Estate is an important local site with a long history in the area. Formerly used as Geilsland School, the site is now being developed as a community owned asset: a place where local people, groups, volunteers and partner organisations can come together for activities, events, learning, volunteering, social connection and practical support.
Our work at Geilsland includes caring for the buildings and grounds, improving access to the site, supporting community use, and developing the facilities in a way that benefits local residents now and in the future, providing jobs, training, learning and opportunites for social connection.
The car park is a key part of making Geilsland usable. It supports access for visitors, volunteers, staff, contractors, community groups and people attending activities or services on site. Because the car park is heavily used, it regularly deteriorates and develops potholes, which affects safety, accessibility and the overall welcome to the site.
We are seeking support to ensure Geilsland remains accessible and usable as we work towards longer-term investment in the site.
