Our aim is to prevent and reduce poverty across North Ayrshire. We support individuals—especially families—to improve their wellbeing, build confidence, and create better life opportunities. We do this through strengths-based, community-led family support that recognises and builds on people’s existing skills and resilience. Our approach is rooted in community development, focusing on strong relationships, active participation, and empowering people to shape their own futures.

Community Link Up will be delivering our work across a range of community places and spaces; however, our base will be within Auchenharvie Academy.
We are currently developing a small emergency food provision, with a dedicated cupboard holding essential supplies that families can access in times of immediate need. This will help bridge the gap until we are able to connect individuals and families into longer-term support such as local foodbanks and community larders.
As you’ll be aware, accessing emergency food provision can be particularly challenging when foodbanks and larders are closed. This resource is intended to provide a simple, immediate option for families who may otherwise go without.
We would also welcome support from local businesses. One practical way to help would be through the purchase of £10 supermarket vouchers, which can be distributed to families in urgent need. For example, Aldi Orange vouchers are especially helpful as they cannot be used to purchase alcohol, ensuring funds go directly towards essential items.
