Our main aim is the welfare of veterans in North Ayrshire and surrounding area’s. The RBLS is seen as the custodians of ‘National and Local Remembrance’. Not one of our members receives a wage/earnings as we are all volunteers.
We organise the annual community Remembrance Parades in Stevenston and Saltcoats whilst contributing to the 2 parades in Ardrossan. During the year we also lead remembrance services and parades such as the ‘HMS Dasher’ parade/service in March every year, this event brings people/relatives from all over UK and even the BBC filmed it last year.
All of our parades and services help bring the community together and put the spotlight on the 3 Towns, at present future parades are under threat and this may result in stationary services only.
