Recovery Practitioner – Full Time – Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) Ayrshire and Arran

Job Summary

DBI involves working with frontline partnership agencies to deliver a two-tiered intervention to people who are experiencing distress. Responding to referrals within 24 hours, the DBI service offers a person-centred approach, utilising a wide array of supportive tools to work with the referred person over a period of 14 days. We deliver community-based problem-solving support, wellness intervention and distress management planning, as well as signposting, to help equip the person with strategies and resources.

The role of the DBI Recovery Practitioner is to assist people who use the service to establish and maintain a meaningful and fulfilling life in the community, with a focus on distress management planning. Working collaboratively with the national DBI Programme and with the local DBI partnership, you will form part of a large team of people across the organisation and the wider partnership. Your role will support local DBI delivery and implementation to deliver compassionate, connected support to the communities of Ayrshire and Arran.

Contract Type: Full Time – Permanent

Closing Date: 05 February 2021

Salary: £19,814 – £20,881 (equivalent of £10.16 – £10.71 per hour)

Specific Hours: 37.5 hours per week

 The role of administrator within the Ayrshire and Arran DBI service will help facilitate the delivery of consistent and effective administrative processes, and to work collaboratively to support the DBI Recovery Practitioner team.

Salary: £18,207 – £19,814 full time per annum (£9.34 – £10.16/hr equivalent).
