Between 30 January 2017 and 24 March 2017, the Council consulted on its Main Issues Report (MIR) as part of the preparation of a second local development plan (LDP) for North Ayrshire. The MIR and its accompanying Interim Environmental Report were available to view during this period and a large number of responses were received.
Some of the respondents proposed additional land for development not previously submitted to us through the formal ‘Call for Sites’ process. In order for us to ensure a level of transparency and allow us to consider these for possible inclusion in the proposed plan, we are undertaking an additional consultation. This does not infer that any or all of the sites will be allocated.
Consultation on these additional sites will take place between 11/08/17 and 08/09/17.
Paper copies of the site boundaries will also be available to view at all public libraries in North Ayrshire and at Cunninghame House, Irvine.
