On 29 November 2022, North Ayrshire Council Cabinet agreed to the commencement of a Statutory Public Consultation under the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010.
The proposal is to amend the primary school catchment boundary, directly affecting the following schools:
- Mayfield Primary School
- Glencairn Primary School
- St Anthony’s Primary School
- St John’s Primary School
A report outlining the benefits of this proposal can be viewed here.
Views are now sought from all stakeholders on this proposal. An online response form can be completed at the link below:
Alternatively, use one of the methods below to submit your response:
- Submit a paper copy of the response form, attached at Appendix 7 to the report
- Email educ_consultation@north-ayrshire.gov.uk
- Write to the Head of Service, Communities and Education Directorate, North Ayrshire Council, Cunninghame House, Irvine, KA12 8EE
You can also attend the public meeting to be held at 6.30pm on 18 January 2023 in Saltcoats Town Hall, 17-21 Countess Street, Saltcoats KA21 5HP.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the proposal and hear the views of the wider community.
The consultation period runs from Monday 9 January until Thursday 2 March 2023.
