Wish 1: What do you need?
**Completed by Fleet Factors, March 2022** Help to weed, cut back bushes and redistribute and flatten the gravel in the car park to make is safe for our users especially those who are disabled and elderly and with young children. During covid lockdown our car park became over grown and it is a huge job required by hand. If you have industrial tools it would be done in an hour or so rather than days of work for volunteers who are often vulnerable and elderly. No deadline but before winter would be good when the bad weather hits and the puddles appear which is unsafe for our visitors.
Wish 2: Type of wish
Request for voluntary time from contractor - general (e.g. helping at an event, general labour for a project)
Wish 2: What do you need?
Painting disabled spaces on our car park. We need some disabled spaces painted on the car park to make them more noticeable and safe for all our disabled visitors. Looking for a contractor who would provide the paint and do the painting as a one off for us. No deadline just when available to do so.

Wish 3: What do you need?
Small shrubs, plants and flowers to plant into our garden which is a safe space for people to rest and enjoy. Also to plant the front of the building to make it look welcoming. No deadline any time up to spring 2022.

Wish 1: What do you need?
We are a small group of about 15-20 persons depending upon the weather. 10 of the group will be doing a qualification The Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society , we have an area at Eglinton Park that we are nurturing in many ways both with plants and vegetables and construction. The group criteria is that they have a condition either Health, Physical difficulty, Learning Disability, Autism or any other condition that has prevented them from entering into some form of paid work. We have a cabin which we retrieved from one of the school closures of last year that was dismantled and left with us. We are looking for some help to rebuild it so that the guys would have a workshop to work from and produce goods towards their qualification. We estimate that we need help from around 6 persons able to lift heavy weights and if some have experience in DIY that would be good! Weather permitting, a full day at 7 hrs or 2 x half days should be enough to complete all the parts for the build. It would be good if the volunteers had their own cordless drills and 10mm sockets as most of the connections are small bolts that size.
Wish 2: Type of wish

Wish 2: What do you need?
We are looking for help to have our grey cabin repainted and a living roof put in place, quite a detailed task but would be fantastic especially if you have any artistic individuals who could paint flowers, bees and insects.

Wish 3: What do you need?
We are looking for a donation of approximately 50 ft of armoured wiring to connect our cabin in the park to the power coming into the field (roughly 3ft down). This would give our volunteers power so they can have a cup of tea any time they are volunteering.

Wish 1: What do you need?
Our mobile single axle Groundhog welfare unit rests on a slight slope in our partial tarmac car park. The welfare unit contains a small kitchen/mess room, single toilet compartment and generator compartment. This is used by both our volunteer guides and the toilet by visitors to our site. If some construction company could help us to build up and thereby level out the ground below which the groundhog unit sits allowing it to sit level that would be a major benefit all users. Our visitor site is currently closed from October to March reopening in April 2022. We will pay for the material costs.
Wish 2: Type of wish
Request for voluntary time from contractor - specific (e.g. specific financial, business, design or other skill-based support)
Wish 2: What do you need?
Our new replica above ground monitoring post building has a slight lip about 4 inches from ground level into the internal floor area. This could potentially create a trip hazard to those with mobility issues, and was highlighted during a recent survey of our museum/heritage site. If we could get some contractor to design and/or build either a permanent or mobile ramp the width of a door frame to allow improved safe access that would eliminate a concern on our objective to make our museum site as accessible as we can to al our visitors. We will pay for the material costs.
Wish 3: Type of wish
Request for voluntary time from contractor - general (e.g. helping at an event, general labour for a project)
Wish 3: What do you need?
Our museum/heritage site is located within a field outside Skelmorlie and separated from sheep and cattle by an enclosure of fence posts topped by strand of barbed wire. Our wish is to replace between 6 to 10 fence posts which are showing signs of being loose with at least two being rotted through at ground level. We need a contractor with the necessary skills and experience to replace these rotten fenceposts. We will pay for the material costs.

Wish 1: What do you need?
Skip hire and removal. The gardens inherited a substantial amount of old tyres, from large tractor tyres to small car tyres. As we know they are classed as hazardous waste, we have no desire to keep these on site. There are potentially enough to fill two walk-in skips. We are looking for someone to donate the supply and removal of a skip to get these taken away. We also have many old, half-rotten sleepers and some general waste which would be great to have taken away at the same time. Our volunteers on site are able to move and fill the skips. There is no deadline for this; however, the longer they stay on site the more they degrade and contaminate the gardens so, it would be good to get them away as soon as possible and preferably before the vegetation grows up around them again.
Wish 2: Type of wish
Request for voluntary time from contractor - specific (e.g. specific financial, business, design or other skill-based support)
Wish 2: What do you need?
Small digger - preferably manned. The gardens are in the process of having electricity connected to the site. However, this will only be to a meter point. We are looking for a company to donate the use of a small digger, and potentially staff to man it, to dig trenches from the meter point to the location of three cabins on site. This will allow us them to work with electricians to get the cabins connected. Having the cabins hooked up will benefit our garden groups no end: supervisors will be able to do office work on site, groups can cook, stay warm and have light within the cabins, and volunteers will be able to use equipment to carry out garden activities. The digging of three trenches is estimated to take approximately half a day. Our teams would ensure there are no obstacles in the way.
