Details

SYSTRA Transport Consultants are preparing an assessment of non-motorised user needs in the vicinity of the proposed upgrade of the B714 road between Dalry and the A78.   Their report will help the design team to plan for appropriate measures along or near the route which improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and horse-riders and encourage future journeys by these modes.

A one hour webinar is being held on Monday 20 June 2022 at 6.30 pm where you can ask questions and raise concerns (link is below).   The Webinar will also include a presentation of the initial findings and invite discussion about sustainable travel opportunities and local safety issues.

Please note that the webinar will not cover discussion of the exact route alignment which will be addressed via separate engagement.

An outline plan of the study area is attached. The final proposed alignment has yet to be agreed.

SYSTA invite you to contact them with your comments on the following points, and any others you wish to raise.

  • Existing safety issues (ideally with locations)
  • Key desire lines and destinations
  • Preferred type and location of new NMU facilities
  • Likely impact on NMU journeys beyond the immediate highway scheme

Comments can be sent to Tim McKavanagh at tmckavanagh1@systra.com
