As part of the ongoing cycling infrastructure improvement projects being brought forward by North Ayrshire Council (NAC) in conjunction with local community groups, WYG has been commissioned to undertake a feasibility study of potential active travel route corridor options between Brodick and Lamlash. The study is funded by Sustrans through the Places for Everyone (PfE) funding and seeks to develop an active travel route that meets the design standards set out within the funding criteria.

Since the study commenced in January 2020, the design team have faced a number of challenges in progressing the study, not least the latest challenge presented by Covid-19.  However we remain resolute in maintaining progress.

A number of initial route options have been identified by the study team and these have been added to using the local knowledge of some of the local stakeholders.

WYG on behalf of NAC have prepared an interactive online public consultation which can be accessed using the following link –

After viewing the material, NAC would like to hear your feedback by completing the online survey questionnaire (link provided within the interactive online consultation). For this type of study to be a success it is imperative that we get as much engagement from the community as possible. Therefore, can you please also complete the survey on behalf of family or friends who may not have internet access, as we look to involve as many people as possible during these challenging circumstances.

The survey can also be accessed using the link below, please view the material in the first instance before completing it –

The study is at an exciting stage and we would once again like to encourage you to spread the word and circulate the link to the consultation.

WYG and NAC would like to thank you for your forthcoming feedback and your continued support.

Please note, the interactive consultation is best viewed using a desktop or laptop. We understand not everyone will have access to a desktop or laptop, therefore please access a pdf version of the presentation boards using the following link if you are using an Ipad, phone or tablet
